1919 school had 4 grades In 1947 school was reorganized into State secondary school Until 1997 segregated education – 150- 200 pupils per year studied in Riga State
Boarding School for Blind and Partially Sighted children No services for mainstreamed visually impaired children In 1997 Riga State Boarding School for Blind and Partially
Sighted children was reorganized into Strazdumuiza
Boarding School – Training Center for Blind and Partially Sighted Children Main goal: giving the possibility
to parents to choose the most appropriate way of teaching of their visually
impaired child – support
